Read More »Today was art day, for certain! Door-knocking with Art , we met several creative people who shared their talents with us. First, we visited with Dave (names changed), a young man who does artwork for a popular sporting logo.
Read More »A huge chunk of my day was spent in the garage assembling yard signs. Like many of the routinely tedious campaign tasks, this one has occupied much more of my time than anticipated.

Read More »My collection of accents on the campaign trail grew today, as we spoke with Jimmy (names changed). He’s a Louisianan with a Cajun brogue so thick I ended up asking him to repeat his words several times as he shared his story.
Read More »After the first hour or so of door-knocking last night, an allergy attack demoted me from Campaign Assistant to Campaign Chauffer (Or was that a promotion? Hmm).
Read More »I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before, but it bears repeating: door-knocking can be mentally fatiguing. Because we are sweeping through precincts a second go-round, most of the doors belong to Independent voters.
