The voters of Iowa House District 66 have a clear, best choice for their representative in November: Art Staed.

You will not find people more dedicated to the citizens of their district, to Cedar Rapids, and to Iowa in general than Staed and his wife, Susan.

Staed has the experience to protect and improve our education systems as well as our economic development. As a legislator previously, he has had leading and effective roles in both areas. More important, as a fellow teacher, I know he sees Iowa’s education system as the critical foundation for all other issues to be effectively resolved.

Staed has fought and will continue to fight for superior Iowa public education systems. He knows giving our kids the best possible public education is the best insurance for producing productive, community-oriented, caring adults.

At a time when we desperately need intelligence, consensus building and careful thought inside the confines of our Capitol, instead of divisive, fringe rhetoric and legislation far outside of mainstream Iowans’ thought, Staed is the answer for District 66.
