CEDAR RAPIDS — The League of Women Voters of Linn County has set a series of candidate forums for state legislative and county races ahead of the November election. All the forums run from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Here’s the list of the forums now scheduled:
The Iowa Legislative District 48 forum between Representative Nate Willems (D) and Dan Zumbach (R) will be Tuesday, September 25 at the Falcon Civic Center, 137 Fourth Street North, Central City.
The Linn County Supervisor District 3 forum set for Thursday, September 27 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church between Supervisor Ben Rogers (D) and David Zahn (R). Westminster Presbyterian Church is at 1285 Third Ave. SE.
Tuesday, October 2 is the Iowa Legislative District 95 forum between Kristen Keast (D) and Quentin Stanerson (R). The forum is at the Falcon Civic Center, 137 Fourth Street North, Central City.
The Iowa Legislative District 66 forum between Representative Renee Schulte (R) and Art Staed (D) will be Thursday, October 4 at Christ Episcopal Church, 220 40th St. NE.
The Iowa District 67 forum between Representative Kraig Paulsen (R) and Mark Seidl (D) will be Tuesday, October 9 at the Hiawatha Community Center, 80 North Center Point Road in Hiawatha.
Monday, October 15 the Peoples Church Unitarian Universalist, 4980 Gordon Ave. NW, will be the venue for the Iowa District 70 forum between Representative Todd Taylor (D) and Lance Lefebure (R).
The Iowa Legislative District 68 forum between Representative Nick Wagner (R) and Daniel Lundby (D) will be Thursday, October 18 at Kirkwood Training and Outreach Services (KTOS), 3375 Amar Dr. in Marion.
Tuesday, October 23 the KTOS location, 3375 Amar Dr. in Marion, will be the venue for the Linn County Auditor forum between Auditor Joel Miller (D) and Garth Fagerbakke (R).
The final forum of the series will be Thursday, October 25 for Iowa State Senate District 34. The candidates are Senator Liz Mathis (D and Ryan Flood (R). This forum also will be at KTOS, 3375 Amar Dr. in Marion.
